and go with the flow. Last week I wrote about all the effort that went into preparing for my current show at Woods’ Gallery in Woods Memorial Presbyterian Church. A few days later I am contacted by one of the art coordinators there who most apologetically explained to me that the show would have to come down this coming Sunday July 30th to protect the art from dust from nearby room renovations. No one had let them know about this and apparently the contractor had an opening and opted to do it next week. Hopefully dusty demolition work will be done and the show rehung by Sunday August 5th.
Life constantly is throwing roadblocks up on our paths. Our challenge is how we handle them. Yes, I was /am disappointed, but not upset. That is life, and I am grateful for being given the opportunity to show there for the rest of the time!
So the show is up through noon of this Sunday, and will “open” (hopefully) Sunday August 5th. Weekday hours are 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., weekends 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. There is no opening reception for this show – my choice, due to daughter’s upcoming wedding in early October and am in high gear prepping for that!
